Michal Adler Shalev

Graduate of the Technion, Haifa, 1984 in Civil Engineering and the Bezalel Art Academy, Jerusalem 1989 in Ceramic Design.
I create hand built ceramic objects characterized by simplicity of form and surface treatment suggesting tactile and earthy qualities. The use of different clays combined with twigs, ropes, yarn, wires and stitches contribute to a distinct sense of closeness to nature and place inspired by contemporary and ancient cultures of the land.
Over the years I participated in several exhibitions in Israel and abroad;
You can find my works also in the shop of Eretz-Israel Museum, Ramat-Aviv.
I live, work and teach in Mazkeret Batya, Israel.
