Irit Gabrieli Amitai

Most of my work is wheel thrown and slab built functional tableware, vividly decorated with bright colors and with hand painted naïve – nature inspired motifs.
Recently, I have introduced new techniques to my repertoire: porcelain marbling and the addition of yarn and textile to the finished pots for interest and texture.

I create complete household designs which include dinner sets, light fixtures, colored tiles, sinks and some Judaic ceremonial items.

I live and work in Benyamina and teach in my studio as well as in the local community center and country club.
